Winter Fishing Results Week 5

Filey Brigg Angling Society Winter Fishing Results Week 5

Fairly settled seas made the fishing a little more difficult during the fifth weeks match.  Unstoppable fish magnet Phil Arliss, again, booked the trend and landed a magnificent double figure cod of

11-10-4, which helped him accumulate a bag of over 20lbs.  Phil also won the John Smiths’ Open with his monster fish which earned him a cool £500, kindly sponsored by Filey Snooker Centre and John Smiths’.  100 anglers turned out for the event in good conditions, and with the good show of codlings we’ve had, most were optimistic.  A good show of four, five and six pounders were brought to the scales but failed to beat Phil’s impressive fish.

  1. Phil Arliss, 20-10-6, 4 fish
  2. Adrian Colling, 14-1-1, 8 fish
