Some long awaited northerly seas did nothing to improve the fishing during week 17, with only two anglers troubling the scales.  Robbie Harrison was one of them, continuing his excellent run and winning three of the last four matches with three good cod.  Richard Johnson was the other successful angler who lured two cod for just over 6 pound.

During another tough week, Brid boy Steve Acklam achieved a 2 fish bag when most struggled to find one. Steve’s two fine fish also took sweeps moving him up into second place in the cod league.

Cod magnet Robbie Harrison landed his second consecutive win with a leviathan cod which almost made double figures. Robbie’s fish is now the heaviest fish of the season beating Andy Colling’s 8-12 fish from last week.

A good run of turbulent seas saw an increase of fish landed for most anglers, including some better-sized fish. Continuing his rout of the ‘A’ League, Robbie Harrison put together an admirable bag of cod for nearly 14 pound to secure a week 13 win. Juvenile Matthew Colling opened his account with a good winter cod of 5-13, Andy Colling also had the heaviest fish of the winter so far, a cod of 8-12-3.
